I was expected to be in the skilled nursing facility for at least two more weeks, but insurance will only cover through June 9th.
I do think home is the best place for me right now. My breathing has improved, and the only obvious obstacle is my very swollen right arm. The lymphedema is inhibiting the use of my right arm and hand, but I have learned to do a lot just using my left.
My hair is coming out by the handfuls and it's time to just shave what remains. I'm excited for this next step.
I’ve been home for two days now from the skilled nursing facility and doing well. My breathing has improved greatly.
My friends Dave and Natalia took me grocery shopping and Natalia prepped some veggies and fruits for me. The lymphedema just won’t let up in my right arm. Using a knife would not turn out well.
Natalia also shaved my head. I was ready to be done with the chore of cleaning hair off my pillows.
Yesterday, I tried to get some sun on my noggin but went out a little too late and the temperature was 98 degrees. I thought my flip flops had melted.
Soon I will have my second Immunotherapy and Chemo treatment and will update after.
