My Doctor Said My Cancer is in Remission

**reposted from my GoFundMe page**

I wanted to share some encouraging news—my recent scans and bloodwork came back looking great, and my oncologist said I’m in remission! I’m incredibly grateful for this progress and for all of your support along the way.

I’m still facing a few challenges. My breathing continues to be difficult, and I often get winded with even light exertion. I’m also still dealing with limited use of my hand and wrist, which makes day-to-day tasks and job searching harder than I’d like. I’ve been actively looking for a second job, but it’s been tough given these ongoing limitations.

The good news is, I’ve returned to physical therapy and I’m staying hopeful that I’ll increase use and mobility of my hand and wrist soon.

Also, my hair is growing back. It started out as a soft, patchy peach fuzz. I ended up shaving it down hoping the fuzz wasn’t going to be my new “normal”. Soon after, the growth was coming back dark, thick, and often comical. Navigating short hair is totally new to me. Most days, I just embrace the chaos and go with my motto: “Bad hair, don’t care!” I appreciate the reminder that healing takes time, and the body knows how to come back to life.
